How to embed YouTube video clip in your blog post

Today I want to share how to put or embed video from youtube, metacafe or other video clip services into your blog post. These are few simple steps how to embed video clips from Youtube and the same concept can be apply to other video clips on the internet.

• Surf Youtube or other internet video collection and choose your desired clip that you want to embed into your blog post. You can see the Embed icon on the bottom of the Youtube player. Click the icon.

• After that, a new option will appear. You can choose your own preference regarding the Youtube player border colour and size. Choose the right colour and size based on your blog theme. After that, you can see the embed code. Click at the code and it will automatically select all the embed code text. Right click on your mouse and copy the code.

• Then, open your blog editor. Paste the code. The code will represent your video player on your blog post. If you want to put your text below the video clip, write below the embed code.

Add Your Yahoo Messenger ID to Blog

Hello.. it's already a week i didn't update my blog.. so, today, i'm going to share what i've learn this week.. it is to add my Yahoo Messenger ID on my blog.. it is easy.. your blog visitor can contact you through your blog with YM.. besides, the YM icon will show if you are online or not... furthermore, you can choose 10 different icon style in your blog.

World’s most expensive blog sold at $15 million. Blogging, when done right can be a very profitable career. It gives you a healthy monthly income, and at one point, do not be surprised to know how much it can sell.

Last year, Bob from Malaysia sold his blog, BlogOhBlog that specializes in offering WordPress themes to Jai from India for US$10,000. All transactions are done online, and in the end Bob walked away $10,000 richer, while Jai continues to maintain the blog until today.

If that’s expensive, consider this - last week, Johns Wu, the founder of Bankaholic, a blog that talks about banking, finance and investment, sent a shockwave throughout the blogosphere after agreeing to sell his blog for US$15 million dollars to BankRate, a financial information portal. Johns, who wrote most of the blog articles himself has already received $12.5 million and will receive the remaining progressively until the full ownership transition completes. The $15 million dollar acquisition is by far the world’s most expensive blog sale ever.

Through blogging, Johns receives income from Google Adsense, advertisements and affiliate programs.

Amazingly enough, the blog is only over 2 years old, and the acquisition for the financial blog was made at the time when recession is looming across the US, Europe and Asia. And while intense debate is going to justify the price of the blog acquisition, Johns walks away as the clear winner with a historic blog sale.

Solution for blogger XML error BX-bliced messages after upload new templates

i'm trying to change the template for my new blog but the error message (error bX-si9ejx) appeared.

Then, i search for the solution and i've found out how to solved the problem.

What to do:

1. Download the template you want to upload

2. Get the XML file and open in a WordPad (right click --> Open With --> WordPad).

3. “Ctrl + F” and in the search box type widget id

4. In every widget line it will display something like this :

widget id='example1'

replace that number for a any other one. Example, if the widget says 1, erases it and place number 2 instead. So you will have something like this now:

5. Do this to all widgets you find in you XML code. When you finish SAVE(Press CTRL+S)

6. Go to Blogger --> Layout --> HTML

7. Upload --> Preview / Save

Done! Enjoy it.

update* if you get this error bX-si9ejx, after edited your template, you should delete cookies and temporary internet files at your browser and upload template again.

How to using the blogspot template?

This is the first time I'm using the template for the blog. I've learned one or two things today about customizing the blog. From what I understand, there is 2 way to customizing the blog which is through the .html(old version) or .xml(new version).

The .html is the conventional ways to editing the blog. You have to know about the java script if you want to using the .html version. For me as the beginner, I prefer to use the .xml which is easier that the html. Just download the template and you can quickly change the template in your blogspot.
